The spring weather is here to stay, so it’s time to shift your fitness routine outside. Set a new rhythm for your spring and summer workouts by participating in the Broccoli City Fit Fest. Hosted by Broccoli City—an organization determined to create a healthier and more sustainable future for Millennials, Gen Z, and everyone beyond—the Fit Fest serves as a precursor to their popular D.C. music festival.
From 9 to 11 a.m. on May 7th, Broccoli Fest’s fitness fanatics will set up shop at Anacostia Park for a morning of fitness and fun. The event kicks off with an unofficial 5K run and walk. Register online ($20) and move along the course at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Then stick around for a cool-down stretch followed by a group yoga session. If you’re still in exercise mode after finding your yoga zen, there are more activities to try, including some high-intensity training led by a fitness guru. To see everything the Fit Fest has to offer, sign up and come out on the morning of May 7th.
